JAKE’S DAD
(Excited)
You’re in!
JAKE’S MUM
(Excited)
You’ve got it!
JAKE
(Confused)
What?
JAKE’S DAD
The trials you applied for.
JAKE
No, the trials you applied for.
JAKE’S PARENTS part to let him through and make his way upstairs.
JAKE’S MUM
We thought this was what you wanted.
JAKE
Well it ain’t.
JAKE takes a moment to compose himself.
JAKE
Look, I appreciate what you’re trying to do,
but I’m not interested. I just want to be like
every other twenty year old.
JAKE’S DAD
And you will be.
JAKE
No I won’t, dad. I don’t want to live on rabbit
food and spend my days constantly exercising while
everyone else is out enjoying themselves.
JAKE goes upstairs as his MUM and DAD stand clearly disappointed.
"Overall, an entertaining and lucidly written drama. Just when the audience thinks Jake and Tony can resume their normal lives, a vengeful psychopath strikes and this is where the dramatic timing works well."
