Creative Timeline


Below is a brief overview of Jack's history as a writer:

September 2003:

Begins a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing at The University of Bedfordshire (formerly The University of Luton)

April-May 2005:

Completes four intense weekend workshop sessions with The Menagerie Theatre Company. This results in Jack signing a one-year contract with the Cambridge based company.

October 2005:

Jack's Scarface: 20th Anniversary Edition DVD review is featured on the BBC Collective web site as a 'Selected Review'. Access the review at http://www.bbc.co.uk/collective

April 2006:
 

This web site is launched.

September 2006:

Graduates with a 2.1 classification. The graduation ceremony is held at St Mary's Church, Luton, Bedfordshire.

September 2006: 

Jack's Basement Jaxx: The Singles album review is featured on The Music Critic web site as a 'Selected Review'. Access the review at http://www.music-critic.com

December 2006:


Jack becomes a member of Cambridge based dramatic writing group Write-On!

December 2006:

Double Dare, written by Jack, is performed at the Naked Stage season by drama and writing group, Write-On! 

January 2007

Jack is short-listed for the Queen's Theatre New Writing Award 2007.

February 2007:

East 15 Acting School based in Loughton, Essex, contact Jack regarding use of his scripts for productions and workshops.

April 2007:

East 15 Acting School perform two dress rehearsals and one staged production of Double Dare.

June 2007:

Jack co-creates, edits and launches satirical webzine www.wemadethisup.com

October 2007:
 

Issues, written by Jack and Nick Jones, is performed at the Naked Stage season by Write-On! 

November 2007: 

Dynamite is performed at the Naked Stage season by Write-On!

March 2008: 

Double Dare and Dynamite are performed at the Queens Theatre, Essex, as part of the venues first ever WriteNight!
